Ronald K. Raymond, 80, of Bethlehem Township, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Born on September 26, 1942 in Oak Park, IL, he was the son of the late Ruth (Lefeber) and Keefe H. Raymond. He was the loving husband of Beverly J. Raymond.

Ronald proudly served his country as member of the United States Army. He graduated from Liberty High School 1960, from RCA Institutes and earned his bachelor and master's degrees from Penn State University. He went on to work as an electrical engineer, working mainly with semiconductors. Ron loved music and played the trombone in many local bands including the Municipal Band of Bethlehem, Moravian Trombone Choir, the Dave Neith Orchestra and the Liberty High School Alumni Band and also participated in TAPS Across America. Ron was a member Mountainview Moravian Church where he sang in the choir for many years, The Quarter Century Wireless Association and Ham Radio Rooster Net and a past member of the Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club and the Masons. He enjoyed flying planes, singing in the church choir, helping others fix anything that he could and operating Ham radios.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Beverly J. Raymond; daughter, Jennifer Raymond; beloved basset hound, Watson; brother, Timothy Raymond; sister, Diane Raymond; many in-laws and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Widdop.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-State Basset Hound Rescue, PO Box 471 Deepwater, NJ 08023. Or to Mountainview Moravian Church, 331 Constitution Ave. Hellertown, PA 18055.
