Since its inception the QCWA has had many "nets". Most have been local and Chapter nets and were vehicles for informal chats among friends. In the June 1952 QCWA Bulletin a 75M phone net is mentioned. In the April 1957 Bulletin there is mention of a phone net but no frequency is noted. The first mention of what is now known as The QCWA 20M International SSB Net is in the March 1973 Bulletin. This net was initially on 14.345 MHz but is now on 14.347 MHz. A 15M SSB net operated from 1976 until 1980. The 20M net was replaced briefly by the 15M net from '78-'80. Early 15M net controllers are shown with an (*). The 40 M CW net is also noted with a frequency of 7.035 MHz and is operating on that same frequency now. Both these nets were considered to be "long haul" international nets.

Many have contributed to the continuation of these international nets as participants and as control stations. It seems fitting to recognize those NCS operators that have kept these nets running for over forty years. On this page is a list of past and present NCS stations.
