James W. "Jim" Moore was born on July 13, 1907, in Maine. His first 2-way contact was in 1924.
After graduating from RCA school, he was a ship operator in the merchant marine for ten years. During WWII, he was a federal communications operator for four years.
Jim became a druggist after the war. He died on March 23, 1979, in Bangor, ME.
He was a member of the QCWA, VWOA, ARRL, AWA, and the Ellsworth Wireless Club
