Chapter 46
First Call: W2KHV in 1938

At 94 years young, Louis Retzkin, our father, grand father and great grand father left us this morning after a brief illness.

He was a man of many interests, his most profound was that of being a radio amateur, and that since he was fifteen years old.

He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Ruth, who passed in 2007, to his children, Shelley Karlen (Andrew) and his son, Lee (Mimi).

He is survived by his children, his grand children, Jonathan, Erica, Hannah, Shoshana, Aaron (Lindsey) and one great grand child, Abigail.

He was pre-deceased by one grand daughter, Natanya Retzkin.

In his last years, his constant companion, Evelyn Segal, was the wind beneath his wings. Her devotion to his well being and her support to his family made these last weeks more manageable for him and for them. We are eternally grateful.

Services will be held on Monday, February 17 at The Star of David Funeral Home (Tamarac) at 10:30 AM
Contributions in his memory can be made to The American Heart Association, The American Radio Relay League
or The American Cancer Association
