How to Participate

  • QCWA members in good standing with a United States issued license are welcome to operate W2MM.
  • Email the Activities Manager at activitiesmanager@qcwa.org to volunteer or inquire about scheduling.
  • Modes include CW, SSB, and digital FT8/FT4.
  • A commemorative certificate will be available after the contest through the donated efforts of Lou Maggio, NO2C.

Operator Signup & Scheduling

QCWA members in good standing with a valid United States amateur license may request operating slots to activate the club call W2MM during the event period.

  • Secure your slot: email activitiesmanager@qcwa.org with your name, call, time window (UTC), bands/modes, and QTH.
  • Optional shared planner link (insert if available).
  • Please coordinate to avoid same-band/mode overlaps.

Operator Guidelines

  • Identify as W2MM and follow customary special-event operating practices and DX Code of Conduct.
  • Operate near the published frequencies (+/- 10 kHz where conditions require). Keep digital modes in standard FT8/FT4 segments (no F/H).
  • Spotting is encouraged; please include #QCWA and W2MM in comments when possible.

Log Submission (ADIF)

Stations activating W2MM must submit their ADIF logs by 23:59 UTC - December 21, 2025 (end of the third week of December) to enable certificate generation and confirmations.

  • Email your ADIF attachment to activitiesmanager@qcwa.org.
  • Name your file like CALLSIGN_W2MM_2025.adi.
  • Ensure the operator and station_callsign=W2MM fields are correct.

If a shared upload portal is provided, add the link above. Email remains the authoritative intake method.

Commemorative Certificate

After the contest wraps up, operators and chasers will be able to obtain a certificate thanks to the continued volunteer service of Lou Maggio, NO2C. Details and the download link will be announced following log processing.
