Mr. Drevo built a career as an electrical engineer, having earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering technology from Capital Institute of Technology. He was a gifted bluegrass musician, specializing in 5-string banjo, and founded Urban Recordings Ltd. Mr. Drevo performed with Eastern Heritage and taught banjo lessons in his retirement. He was the youngest FCC-licensed ham radio operator in Washington, D.C., a member of Potomac Valley Radio Club, and a founder of the Lewes Amateur Radio Society. Mr. Drevo was a nationally certified U.S. swimming referee and past president of Seven Locks Pool Inc. in Bethesda, Md. Above all, Mr. Drevo cherished time with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted partner, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Drevo is survived by his partner, Barbara LaPlante of Lewes; his sons: Richard Drevo II of Bethesda, and Samuel Drevo of Portland, Ore.; his granddaughter, Madeleine Drevo; his brother, William Luk Drevo Jr. of Texas; and his former wife, Jane Orr Drevo.

A private funeral service will be held at National Bohemian Cemetery, Baltimore, Md. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. Drevo’s memory to the North American Spine Society: NASS, 39752 Treasury Center, Chicago, IL 60694-9700; or the Parkinson’s Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
