Howard J. Trout Jr, 94, of Lower Pottsgrove Twp, Pottstown, widower of Catherine C. "Kitty" (Corbett) Trout, died peacefully on October 20, 2013, at home with is Beloved Dog by his side.

Born October 11, 1919 in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Howard J. Trout Sr and the late Eva (Saylor) Trout. Harry & "Kitty Lou" married on March 26, 1941. Mr. Trout had a career as a Quality Assurance Engineer working for Honeywell and Buroughs Corp. until his retirement. He was US Navy veteran serving during WWII as a Cheif Radio Man and saw combat in the Pacific Theater [Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal]. He was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Douglassville. Mr. Trout was a HAM Radio Operator for over 80 years and had built his first radio.

Surviving are three sons, Howard J. Trout III and his wife Judy B., Hartsville, SC; James F. Trout and wife Judy A., Douglassville; Paul G. Trout and wife Susan M., Elverson; one daughter Katherine T. "Penny" Jermacans, wife of Valdis, Morgantown; one sister Elizabeth Workman, Pottstown; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 am on Saturday October 26, 2013 from Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Douglassville. Officiating will be Reverend Gregory Frey. Burial will be in Pottstown Cemetery - West. There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to, German Shorthaird Pointer Rescue of PA; 47 South 14th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203-1543.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
