Hilmer "Tax" Trygve Taxdahl, age 76, of Ferndale, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, in Ferndale. He was born Feb. 25, 1926, in Everett and had been a resident of Whatcom County for 65 years. He attended Custer schools and served in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Miami during WWII. He married Julee Genther on Aug. 28, 1954, in Ferndale. Mr. Taxdahl was a self-employed cable television engineer who belonged to the Society of Cable Television Engineers and the Mt. Baker Amateur Radio Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an amateur radio operator with the call sign of (W7KCZ).

Survived by his wife, Julee of the family home two daughters, Sharon and husband Bill LeMesurier and children, Nathan, Annaleah, Stephanie, Rachel and Abigail of Edmonds, and Karen and husband Robert Crider and children, Chelsea, Megan and Kelley of Ferndale son, Jim and wife Carol Taxdahl and children, Zachary, Morgan and Cooper of Ferndale two sisters, Ruth Langlois of Des Moines and Alice Lambert of Bremerton brother-in-law, William Genther & wife Janet of Olympia and numerous other family members. Preceded in death by his parents, Torkel and Marie (Undem) Taxdahl, son Bryan Taxdahl, father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Dorothy Genther, brothers Ray and Palmer Hojem and sister Edythe Sandberg.

A graveside service will be held Wed., Nov. 27, 1 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Paul Gamlen officiating. A coffee hour will follow at Greenacres|Moles Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Mt.
