Wm. Oliver Grieve, 85 years, of Benson, AZ passed away on August 30, 2008. Oliver's life long hobby was Amateur radio. He had his Ham license for nearly sixty years with the call signs of W7WGW the longest and W7AFC most recently. He was very active in the Ham Community, especially proud as the founding member of the Mingus Mountain Repeater Group. He was a member of many Ham radio clubs throughout Arizona. Oliver retired from KOOL-TV in Phoenix. He worked in radio communications for the Arizona Highway Patrol and was a small town disc jockey early in his career. Oliver served in the Army Signal Corps in Japan during WWII.

Oliver was preceded in death by his wife Estelle Grieve. He is survived by his daughters Karen Wulff (Carl) and Sally Duncan (Timothy), grandsons Kevin and Caleb Wulff and granddaughters Samantha, Laura, Amanda, and Veronica Duncan.

Services will be held on Friday September 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, AZ. Adair Funernal Home, Tucson, AZ In lieu of flowers please contribute to any veteran charity.
