Philip Ray Cleary, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away January 31, 2011. He was born August 27, 1927 in Eureka, MT, to the late Jesse Leo Cleary, Sr. and Ellen I. (Farley) Miller. Philip served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant. He married Rosa Nelson, and was employed with the State of Indiana, retiring as Director of Communications for the Department of Emergency Management. Philip was a member of the Indianapolis Downtown Optimist Club, a life member of the DAV and American Legion, past president of the Indiana Square Dance Association, and a H.A.M. Radio Operator on W9NBQ.

Philip is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Rosa Cleary; sons, Daniel Ray (Teri) and Patrick Gale (Lori) Cleary; grandchildren, Christopher Ray Cleary, Lisha Ann Jones, and Jason Gale Cleary; step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Justin Mougey; five great great grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; and three step-sisters.
