Allan Hardigree Sr., a native of Oconee county, was born on April 6, 1946 and passed away on June 7, 2020.

Allan is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lorenzo Hardigree and Dorothy Dell Hardigree; and brother, Henry David Hardigree.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Gilbert Hardigree; daughter, Dorothy Hardigree; son, Al Hardigree Jr.; sister, June Hardigree (Dennis) McKenzie; stepson, Jimmy (Celina) Jones; grandson, Balin Jones.

After graduating from Oconee County High School in 1964. He attended Southern Tech College and Athens Technical Institute and graduated with an Electrical Engineering Degree. After college, Allan accepted a job with RCA in Cape Canaveral. He then was transferred to Australia to work with NASA on the Apollo Mission. From there he was transferred to Alaska to a Satellites Tracking Site. He also worked for Russell Research, Reliance, Eaton Electronics and Denon Digital as Mastering Engineer. Allan started in electronics at a very young age and was repairing televisions and radios in Elementary School. He also designed a lamp and assembled the parts in front of 30 Georgia Power Employees at age eleven. Allan was also an amateur radio operator for over 55 years.

He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and very involved in the activities of the church, connection groups and small groups. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, traveling with his wife, talking on his amateur radio, working on antique radios, flying model airplanes and running his Central of Georgia model train.

A private graveside service will be held at Oconee Memorial Park in Watkinsville.
