Parents: Charles Herbert Miller (stepfather) and Barbara Comfort Sylvester Miller, Tilman. Rick was preceded in death by his biological parents, Bevis M. Bowles and Barbara Comfort Sylvester (Miller) (Tilman), wives Fannie Lee and Velma, and a brother Curtis Quentin Miller of Navaron, PA.

After high school Richard joined the armed services and in November of 44 was called to active duty in the army. He was an army veteran of WWll and Korea where he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, the Army of Occupation (Japan) and the Combat Infantry Badge. After an Honorable Discharge he served in the United States National Guard.

Rick and his wife, Fannie Lee Bartlett Miller, moved to the Lone Grove area in 1986 where he worked for the US Post Office in Kingsland. Rick was active in the community and a member of the amateur radio club, the Masons, and the Sons of the American Revolution among others. In later years Rick was a concealed handgun instructor.

A good friend and neighbor Richard Schulz.

A Masonic graveside service with military honors will be held at Board Branch Cemetery in Lone Grove on Friday March 25, 2022.
