Martin W. Clark (WB2NLE) SK. June 10, 2012 The Tryon ARC deeply regrets to announce the death of one of our older members, Martin W. Clark (WB2NLE). Martin, of Broadalbin, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the age of 88. Martin was a member of the Broadalbin Kennyetto Volunteer Fire Department for 45 years and a life member of the American Legion Robert Lee Walsh Post 337. He was also a member of the John A. Baird VFW Post 8690, Fulton County D.A.V., and the Fulton County Historical Society. Additionally, Martin was a member of the Fulton County REACT Club and the Tryon Amateur Radio Club.

Obituary of Martin W. Clark Martin W. Clark, 88 of Broadalbin passed away on Thursday June 7, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.He was born in Gloversville, NY on October 28, 1923 the son of the late Lloyd S. and Bertha Mae Weiderman Clark.He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.On June 1, 1946, Martin married Florence Brown Clark. They have shared 66 years united in marriage.

He worked for D&K Fiber in Broadalbin for 20 years. Following D&K Martin went on to work for General Electric for 18 years. In addition to working, Martin was also a self employed photographer for most of his life. In 1990, Martin opened "Clark's Museum of Photography" where he had roughly 1500 cameras on display. Martin was a member of the Broadalbin Kennyetto Volunteer Fire Department for 45 years, life member of the American Legion Robert Lee Walsh Post 337, John A. Baird VFW Post 8690, Fulton County D.A.V., and the Fulton County Historical Society. Additionally, Martin was also a member of the Tryon Amateur Radio Club where his call letters were WB2NLE and the Fulton County REACT Club.

Martin is survived by his wife, Florence Clark of Broadalbin, a son, Lee M. Clark of Perth, a daughter, Janice Hammond Richard of Johnstown, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by all of his siblings: Smith Clark, Willis Clark, Chester Clark, Paul Clark, Katherine Oakley and Genevieve Clark.Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 12, 2012 at the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 13, 2012 with the Rev. Bill Delia officiating. Interment will follow at Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery, Broadalbin. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Martin may be made to the Broadalbin Kennyetto Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
