David Foran David Foran, 72, of Willoughby passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at home, after a lengthy illness. He was born February 23, 1946 in San Diego, California to the late David Edwin and Margaret Ann. He graduated in 1963 from Eastlake North High School. David worked for Ohio Bell until they merged with AT&T, from where he retired. He then went to work for Charles Schwab. David was an amateur radio operator, call sign WB8APD, and was involved in many related organizations. He coached softball for the Willoughby Recreation League during the years that his daughter played softball. The softball players dubbed him .Bubba,. a nickname that followed him for many years. He was active in the Willoughby South Band Boosters and Athletic Boosters, serving as president for both organizations. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha; children, Kelly Breininger, Kimberly Foran, and Shawn (Stephanie) Foran; grandchildren, Jessica, Hannah (Ted), Brittney (Nick), Jason, Andrew, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Piper Marie and Natalie Jane; brothers, Gordon, Rodger, Pat, and Jerry; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces. At David.s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice Foundation, 900 Cooper Street, Jackson, MI 49202.
