AA4MX John O. Mc Donald Merritt Island, FL QCWA # 36280 Chapter 66

After 40 plus years with the call sign WB4ZXS, I have decided to change my call. In honor of my Elmer, Slim W4MX now SK, my new call sign is: AA4MX

I got my first license in May 1972 as a Novice with the call WN4ZXS. I learned about Ham Radio by sharing the bedroom / Ham Shack with my older brother Jim in the early 60s, his call then was WN4FBO/WA4FBO now his call is KI1H. My first contact was with my Elmer W4MX, Slim (SK) on 40 meters, on my Home Brew Novice Transmitter I built from the plans in the ARRL Hand Book. I had the fun of setting for all my license upgrades at the FCC office in Tampa or Miami, Florida. I'm a 20 wpm Amateur Extra, a Life Member of ARRL and AMSAT. I have played with all the different modes the hobby has to offer, but always go back to good old CW. Work mostly CW and QRP CW. I have been trying to learn to copy code in my HEAD more and send better CW with a Vibroplex. I'm sorry if my CW is sometimes hard to copy. Hi
