Cliff Long, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Friday, December 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Libby Long of Albuquerque; son, Steven Long of Albuquerque; daughters, Laurie Long Nelson and husband, Dale of Tubac, AZ, Mary Jo Long of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jeffrey Nelson, Cia Nelson, Janeal Nelson all of Tubac, AZ, and Bailey Long of Albuquerque; sister, Helen Schossow of Albuquerque; brothers, Leslie Long of Yorba Linda, CA and Ray Stabe of Le Mars, Iowa. Mr. Long served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of New Mexico and he was a professional engineer who worked at Sandia and Los Alamos National Labs before retiring from Rockwell International. Mr. Long was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. |
