D.K. "Kelly" Durham, 80, of Port Lavaca passed away Aug. 6, 2001.
He was born Dec. 29, 1920 in Fountain Run, KY to the late Delbert Harlan Durham and the late Donna Thomas Taylor Durham. He was a retired self employed Electronic Technician, US Army Veteran of World War II. He was an avid golfer, ham radio operator, former Game Warden and a former member of the Kiwanis and Knights of Columbus.
Durham is survived by his wife, Mary Jo (Bowers) Durham of Port Lavaca; daughters, Mary Pat Montieth of Galveston, Donna Jacobs and husband Travis of Houston and Marie Durham of Port Lavaca; sons, Michael Durham and wife Sandy of Bremerton, Wash., Hugh Durham and wife Eleni of Gonzales, Kevin Durham and wife Diana of Port Lavaca and Sidney Durham and wife Peggy of Port Lavaca; sisters, Glada Oliver of Oklahoma City, OK and Diana Cadwalder of Houston; a half brother, Bill Renfro of Austin; 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Colonial Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Morales officiating. Burial will follow in the Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Patrick Durham, Joseph Montieth, Gerald Wayne Montieth, Bradley Jacobs, Nathan Jacobs, Erricos Durham and Russell Durham.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home.
