He was a former lst Judicial District Judge (District and County Court) and prominent Denver lawyer for over 55 years. He was rather rebellious against the status quo. Of late, he was a founding partner in Quiat & Bourrillion, LLC. He was a passionate democrat and served as a legislator in the 37th Colorado House of Representatives. Proudly served in World War II achieving the rank of lst Lieutenant Field Artillery in the U. S. Army. He spent over 300 days in combat overseas and received both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Arrowhead. In later years he was active in amateur radio and was elected to multiple terms as Director and Vice-Director of the Rocky Mountain Division of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) from l986-l999. In l999, he was named Honorary Vice-President of the ARRL. He loved skiing with a passion, was an avid reader of fiction, science fiction and enjoyed the outdoors.
