My dear brother Bob KØGWK passed away November 23rd, 2002 due to pancreatic cancer. He was licensed in 1955 at 14 yrs old and became an Extra Class a few years ago. He attained his First Class Radiotelephone License at 18. He was born and raised in Nebraska City, NE and worked at various radio stations in NE & IA as a broadcast engineer. He moved to CA and worked in the audio/video industry and spent the last 20 yrs as a sound engineer at Universal Studios in Hollywood. I always looked forward to seeing and talking to him because he always had some new radio or antenna project in the works or a new piece of gear. Even in his final days, he spoke of getting a new antenna put up... He kept his illness a secret because he didn't want pity or to worry any of us. His family and ham radio was his whole life and I'm sure he'll be missed by those who knew him in the Los Angeles CA area and the Ham Community. Missing you Bob...
