KØHDC Ray J. Carstensen Warrensburg, MO QCWA # 36324

The name here is Ray or Ray J. to some people that have known me for awhile. I have been a licened Amatuer Operator since 1961, the first year was as a Novice, Than I upgraded to a Conditional and than to an Advanced. I am now retired from the electronic industry and a short stint as a Deputy Sheriff(part time).

I can be found working all bands from 160 meters to 70 cm. I do like to chase a Little DX at times and still dabble in electronics. I do some home brew and right now I'm planning to build a small cw qrp transmitter. I also like to restore old tube type receivers. Electronics has been a great intrest of mine since I fixed my first AM radio at the age of 12. It just amazes me that I can introduce a RF signal into a wire and talk to the world. Ham Radio is a great hobby and has a lot to offer all of us.
