Mr. Edwin Tully Karl, of Warrenton, MO., passed away Tuesday November 6, 2018. Edwin was born December 2, 1941 in Bronx, NY., to Joseph and Beulah (nee: White) Karl. Edwin had reached the age of 76 years 11 months and 4 days.
Edwin was married to Lorriane Mary Wund on July 31, 1961 in Bronx, NY. They spent 55 wonderful years together before her passing in 2016. He worked as a Chief Engineer in the Radio and TV industry for many years and had a passion for the Amateur Ham Radio, inspiring many though teaching the profession. Edwin volunteered for the Warren and St. Charles County EMA and also worked with FEMA as a field operator, helping in disaster relief. Edwin also enjoyed deep sea fishing on his boat with family and friends. Edwin found great joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edwin's life motto was God, Family, Love, and Service. His life reflected that motto.
Edwin was preceded in death by his loving wife Lorriane and his parents Joseph and Beulah. He is survived by his children: Debra Sronce, husband Eugene; Mary Tiefenauer; Wendy Null, husband Robert; Christopher Karl, wife Ann Marie. Edwin has 9 grandchildren: Ryan Sronce; Felicia Niemeier, husband Matthew; Gary Lee Hodges; Cary Hodges; Mary Vuylsteke, husband Derek; Sheree Null; Tiffany Null; Tori Null; and Marie Null, Nine great grandchildren: Natalie; Hunter; Ayden; Charli; Jaiden; Cameron; Halo; Derek and Elijah, One brother: John Karl, wife Vivian, Nephews: Michael Karl; John Karl, wife Annette and one great niece: Catherine Karl. Other relatives and many friends.
Visitation for Mr. Edwin Karl will be held on Friday November 9, 2018, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at Martin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirkwood, MO. Memorial donations are preferred for the Warrenton City Animal Shelter, c/o Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main, Warrenton, MO 63383.
