Larry E. Neal, 68, Independence, MO, passed away July 18, 2007. Services will be held 2 p. m. Monday, July 23, 2007, at the Carson- Speaks Chapel; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p. m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by the CarsonSpeaks Chapel, at (816) 252-7900. Published in the Kansas City Star on 7/20/2007.
Larry was born Dec. 25, 1938 in Maryville, MO and grew up in Pickering, MO. He was an electrical lineman for the National Rural Electric Assoc., Independence Power & Light and retired from Unity Village in Jan., 2001. He was a member of the Hopkins Masonic Lodge. Larry was also involved in his hobby as a Ham Radio Operator. He was a member of several amateur radio clubs, the American Radio Relay League, was an emergency coordinator for the U.S. Air Force M.A.R.S., and had recently completed training classes conducted by FEMA. He also taught CPR classes for the Red Cross.
Larry loved to hunt and fish all of his life. Larry is survived by his wife of 36 years Sharon M. Neal, of the home; son Jim Neal and wife Melany, Independence, MO; daughters Linda Gillenwater, Maryville, MO; LeAnn Neal, Kimberling City, MO; Lesia Neal, Springfield, MO; grandchildren T. J. Fish, Amber Dredge, Cody Gillenwater, Regina Neal, D.J. McClain, Joley Neal; great- granddaughter Makenzie Dredge; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

I am mainly interested in the hf spectrum. Antenna's are my favorite pastime, And my other interest are homebrewing, mainly small rigs, But other gear as well. And most of all is working DX and hope to hear you on the band with my TA33.
Age is 64 and I just retired from the Electrical industry for 43 years of service, And I am currently on 20 meters on the DX net's and the SSTV 14233. QSL we qsl 100%.
