KØUJW Robert W. 'Bob' Caron Aurora, CO QCWA # 34909 Chapter 58

Received my 5 wpm Novice ticket (KNØUJW) in 1959, age 15.

Within 7 months earned my 13 wpm Conditional (KØUJW) (didn't have to go to the FCC office for General, too many miles away.) .

Built a homebrew modulator for my DX-20.

Went off to college, got EE and a degree in electronics.

Enlisted in USAF and saw the world for 8 years.

After AF, worked in the office computer world. Got bored there, became a Deputy Sheriff for 8 years.

Didn't get bored there. Got tired of being shot at and went back to electronics.

Retired at 62, due to medical issues.

Now back in to amateur radio, got my old call back thru vanity program.

I tend to work 20 meters, SSB and PSK31, and usually have a 2 meter rig on 146.670 or 146.520
