William "Doc" Fleury, 68, of Nashua, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.

Mr. Fleury was born May 2, 1938, in Lowell, Mass., son of the late George E. and Josephine (Wojcukiewicz) Fleury.

He was employed at Home Depot for several years before his retirement in 2005 due to his illness.

Mr. Fleury was a lifetime member of the Tyngsborough Sportsman's Club, several local amateur radio clubs and was very well known in the HAM radio community.

He served in the Marine Corps for eight years during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his companion, Tina Flynn of Nashua and her family, Jason and Tania Carter, and their children, Kabryn, Alex and Cole, all of Nashua, and Michael Carter and Lynne Rice of Billerica, Mass.; a brother, Douglas Fleury of Florida; and two sisters, Phyllis Howarth of Pepperell, Mass., and Beverly Roberge of Lowell, Mass.

The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.

My other rig in the shack is a ICOM 746, HEIL HM-IC HANDI MIC, ASTRON RS-35A pwr supply. Also run a kilowatt on 6M using a home brew converted SB220 & a DAIWA-801 swr & power meter along with a UNADILLA band pass filter.

I just added a external speaker from SOUNDS SWEET on the HF xcvr and boy what a difference in listening.

ANTENNAS: 48 FT. ROHN 25G TOWER, HAM IV ROTATOR, CUSHCRAFT MA5B MINI BEAM for 10-12-15-17-20 meters,DIRECTIVE SYSTEMS DS50-5 element 6 meter beam, DIAMOND 500HA vertical 2m-70cm, 80 Meter inverted vee @ 45ft, 40 Meter Dipole @ 35ft.

MOBILE: ICOM 706MKIIG, 2/440 ant is a DIAMOND 1/2 wave mag mount. Mobile HF antennas consist of a mag mounted shorty 40mtr Ham Stick and a Hitch mounted 80mtr Ham Stick. I'll be upgrading the mobile antennas come this spring.

I can be found on some mornings early on CNEN 3.955 #588. Also active on ECARS 7.255 #1776. Late afternoon I frequent The 4PM'ers on 3.922 #848.

I always check into the evening Nets OMISS 40mtrs on 7.2635 and then at 0200Z OMISS on 3.9405. My OMISS number is #4637.

I enjoy working Special Event Stations, working Roundups, QSO parties and especially enjoy Field Day operating.

I buy out estate sales and frequent Swap Nets and several Hamfest thru out the year. I hope to meet you at one of them someday.

Other hobbies are,I love taking digital pictures around the various New England States during the summer and in the fall.
