Thomas L. Sly, 82, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2022. Born in Buffalo to the late Ellen Consuelo (Hirsch) and Leslie Ward Sly, he was a graduate of East Aurora High School and the RCA Institute in NYC. Thomas was employed as an electrical engineer by Anaren Microwave, Inc., retiring after 29 dedicated years. He also was the co-owner of a consulting firm, SMQ Associates, for 20 years. Thomas was a Ham Radio Operator (K2QCX) for over 70 years, enjoyed classic car shows, and most of all, spending time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and many friends. Thomas is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Anne (Dolbear) Sly; 2 children, Christine (John) Harris of Fairfax, VA, and Robert (Kevyan) Sly of Arlington, VA; 3 grandchildren, Sean Harris, Katherine Harris, and Patrick Sly; a sister, Mary Anne (Harry) Smith, of Fairport, NY, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass in celebration of Thomas' life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 9:30 am in Sacred Heart Church of Cicero, 8229 Brewerton Rd., Cicero.
