Scott C. Ulmer, 65, of Bern Township, passed away Monday, November 23rd, in Penn State Health St. Joseph Hospital.
He was the son of the late Clarence C. Ulmer and Fern K. (Hettinger) Ulmer, born December 13, 1949, in West Reading, PA.
He is survived by a brother, Randall P. Ulmer, husband of Charlene A. Ulmer; nieces, Michelle (Ulmer) Parker, wife of Charles Parker Jr., and Denise L. Magalotti, wife of Ernest Magalotti.
In addition, there are two grand-nieces, Lily Parker and Emily Magalotti, as well as two grand-nephews, Pierce Parker and Cameron Magalotti.
He graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1967, Wyoming Seminary in 1968 and Syracuse University in 1972 with a degree in Business.
He was a former pilot for Reading Aviation. He also flew charter flights as well.
Scott's interests were HAM radio, flying radio control airplanes and model rockets. The desert surrounding his winter home in Arizona was scene of many rocket launches, some of which reached the altitude of 15,000 feet.
Scott, or "Fern" as he was called by his closest friends, will be greatly missed.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
