Born in Pittsburgh, he lived in Philadelphia from 1945 until he moved to Levittown in 1975.Mr. Houston was an aeronautical engineer and worked at both the Philadelphia and Trenton Navy Yards for 35 years until his retirement in 1975.He served proudly in the US Navy during World War II. Mr. Houston was an avid collector of trains and was an amateur radio operator. He was a civil war enthusiast, flea market and yard sale enthusiast and enjoyed gardening.He was a life long member of the NRA. Mr. Houston spent many years camping and traveling with his late wife Dorothy. He was Past Master of Masonic Lodge, Widener-Apollo Kensington Lodge 211. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Marion (McCune), Mr. Houston was the loving father of Wayne, Keith and Sandra Adjip (Abraham) and the proud grandfather of Scott Houston, William Houston (Lauren), Rachel Berlin (Jason) and Lauren Adjip. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where a Masonic Service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. |
