By pure serendipity, K3MT was born, along with more than twenty thousand other souls, on the date of Marconi.s death. As a youngster he developed an interested in radio, became WN3TQM in 1952, W3TQM a year later, upgraded to extra class in 1964, and to K3MT in 1976. He has been a communications and antenna engineer for the US Army and Air Force, FCC, Voice of America, Northrop Grumman, and other US government agencies. He is now semi-retired, but retained as a Subject Matter Expert in the matter of educating and mentoring younger communication and antenna engineers. You.re most likely to catch him on 160, 80, 40, and 20 CW.
