Chapter 126
K3RHJ - John F. Stone
First Call: K3RHJ in 1961

Licensed as Extra in 2011. First licensed General as a teenager in the early 1960s, so I'm trying to catch up on about 45 yrs of Ham Radio.

First career was the professional piloting business and then computers/micro electronics. System and network admin was a big part of my life for quite a while. Retired now.

I'm still building my station, I have an older Kenwood TS-830S. I have fond memories of 6146 finals and knowing they are in there gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. D-104 mic with the W2ENY element mod.

Since it arrived (doesn't show in the picture), I've been using my new Flex 3000 into a homebrew Off Centerfed Dipole flat top up about 30 feet. The mic is a Heil HM-10 dual element.

I work SSB, CW & PSK31 on 40 thru 10. I enjoy homebrew projects and am very much interested in SDR.

I still need to get some QSL cards. I plan on exchanging any many as I can. That's a big part of the hobby for me.
