Thomas E. Stewart, 90, of Indian River Estates, Fort Pierce, Florida, died August 07, 2012 at his home. Born in Filion, Michigan, he had been a resident of Fort Pierce for 17 years, coming from Wayne, Pennsylvania.
He was a Manufacturer's Rep for his own electronics equipment company in the Philadelphia area.
A Veteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps in the European Theater, at Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He was a member of the local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts.
A Ham Radio Operator, known as K3TS, he was a member of the 'Roosters', a National Ham Radio Operator's Organization, originating in the Philadelphia Area, and served as "Chief Rooster" of the Group for five years.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Barbara J. Stewart, of Fort Pierce; one son, Douglas Stewart of Vineland, New Jersey; two daughters, Diane Dasey, of Medford, New Jersey, and Kari Hyde, of Erie, Colorado; one stepdaughter, Carol P. Marcenzo, of Indiana, Pennsylvania; four stepsons, Stanley J. Lawthers, of Springfield, New Jersey, Steven C. Lawthers, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Richard M. Lawthers, of Philadelphia, & Lawrence D. Lawthers, of West Chester, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; & two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gerry Stewart, and Marian Krushel.
