William Knowlton Harding, Jr. January 25, 2021 Matthews, North Carolina - William K. Harding, Jr., 84, of Matthews, NC, passed away on January 25, 2021, in Willowbrook Court at Matthews Glen (formerly Plantation Estates). He was born June 2, 1936, in Charlotte, NC, the son of William K. Harding and Ruth Jones Harding. Bill was a graduate of NC State University and was an avid amateur radio operator throughout his adult life. He also enjoyed reading and swimming.
He is survived by his second wife, Mary (Jet) Harding; children by his first wife (Janet Jenkins Harding), Emily Parker (Tony) of Statesville, NC, and Ben Harding (Carolyn) of Orlando, FL; and four grandchildren.
