WANDLESS, JOHN OLIVER age 87, born November 5, 1922 in New Alexandria, PA, passed away September 11, 2010.
He served in the US Navy, aboard an aircraft carrier in the Pacific, during WW II. He retired as Director of Data Processing with Orlando Utilities Commission after 38 years of service.
John was a member of the Masons and an amateur radio operator. His call letters were K4HTZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Harvey Wandless and Elizabeth Louise Wandless; brothers, William Nathaniel and James Harvey; sisters, Emma and Margaret Louise. He is survived by his wife, Jean Catherine Wandless of 64 years; sons, James Donald and Michael Kevin; granddaughter, Debbie and grandson, Michael. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Camden and Conner.
Family will receive friends at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home on Thursday, September 16th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The Service will be held at Reeves Memorial Methodist Church, 1100 N. Ferncreek Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803 on Friday, September 17 at 11 am.
