"Bill" Thompson, Sr., retired owner of AET-Lite Neon Sign Co. and a resident of Baton Rouge, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 85 and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., until religious service, conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife, Alice Thompson; a son, W.J. Thompson, Jr.; two step-daughters, Rachel Kane and Paulette Gonia; and step-son, Sonny Heimer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mae Thompson; and a brother, N.T. Thompson. He was a member of the Baton Rouge Amateur Radio Club for more than 50 years and a 32nd Degree Mason.
