Lt. Col. Harold E. Roby (K5JMI) U.S. Air Force (ret.) passed away February 8, 2011.
He was born on February 11, 1923 in Burkburnett, TX to John and Daisy Mae Roby. He served in the U.S. Air Force for over 25 years and retired after 27 years from Burbank High School as a teacher.
Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Jeane Roby; brother, Charles Roby.He is survived by his second wife, Virginia Roby; 4 children, Glenda Griffin, Sharon Roberts and husband Lonnie, Shirley Gimple and John Roby and wife Lynn; brother, James Roby; sister, Hazel Ruth Ramsbotham; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and lots of loving friends.Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday at Sunset Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, February 14, 2011 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
