H.G. "Smokey" Wiley, 80, of Cedar Park passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012. He was born March 24, 1932 in Austin, Texas to Horace and Tennye Wiley.
He was a founding member of the Cedar Park Fire Department. He was an active member of the Lake Hills Free Will Baptist Church in Cedar Park. Smokey had been an amateur radio operator since 1958 and was in the QCWA club.
Smokey will be greatly missed by the family that survives him including his wife of 60 years Betty Wiley; daughter, Tennye Giotis and husband Charlie; grandchildren: Emily Nixon and husband Ray, Christopher Giotis and Jennifer Harper, Aislynn Giotis, Aften Giotis, Brena Toscani and husband Jamie; Great-grandchildren: Breanna Nixon, Alissa Nixon, Angelina Toscani and Lexas Toscani.
Visitation for Mr. Wiley will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks.
