I became interested in Amateur "Ham" radio at a very young age, but did not pass a license exam until I had been a Commercial FCC Licensed Radio Operator (1st Class Radiotelephone w/Ship Radar endorsement) for 10 years, I finally got my first call sign of WB5MPX. Later I also held XE2JZL and then became KK5RIC and now K5RIC. I am active on HF mobile daily on 7195 and 7213 now and then as well as all other HF bands.
