Licensed Radio Amateur since September, 1967 as a Novice WN2CXS in home town of Passaic, New Jersey. Upgraded to General Class in 1968, then Advanced Class in 1969 as WA2CXS. Became a member of the Knight Raiders VHF Club, K2DEL, in 1967. Held various club offices including President. Participated in VHF Contests until 1976 when moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico and became WB5YYX. Held several offices in local clubs there including President and Vice-President of the Albuquerque Amateur Radio Club, Assistant Caravan Master of the Caravan Club and finally QCWA Chapter 94 President for two years. I also upgraded to Extra Class in 1986. I was elected for two consecutive terms as ARRL Vice-Director of the Rocky Mountain Division from 1990-1994. Avid VHF-UHF contester and weak-signal enthusiast. Member of the New Mexico Radio Collectors Club. Collects and repairs antique radios. ARRL and W5YI Extra Class VE. Charter member and treasurer Estancia Valley Amateur Radio Association.
