Robert James Munn of Crystal Lake, IL passed away peacefully on Aug 2, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at 89 years of age. Bob & Jean lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 33 years and have resided in Crystal Lake for the past year. Bob was born in Ontario, Canada, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Percy Munn.
He had a number of university degrees and was a lifelong learner. Bob loved everything connected with science. His career spanned 41 years at Motorola. He started in research and development and evolved into international engineering and marketing. His business travels took him to over 45 countries.
Mr. Munn is survived by his loving wife Jean of 62 years, 2 daughters, Catherine Viola (Carl) and Patricia Dierks (Jim) and 4 grandchildren. A private family memorial and celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements handled by Cremation Society of Illinois.
