Bob Moorman K5VMX passed away on March 18, 2007.
Bob was first licensed in June 1959. He owned Aldine Communications Inc. in Houston Texas until 1989 when it was sold to Nextel Communications. He also operated a G.E. M.R. and 800 & 900 MHz trunking system along with ATI Paging Inc. He also had a communications tower company with 400, 440, 500 & 600 foot towers, one of which hosted a TDXS repeater in the late 1980's.
He retired from the communications business in 1989 and started Trinity RV & Automotive with his son Tim, KC5FXX, in 1996.
He retired from Trinity RV in May 2003 due to poor health.
Bob was married to Lee, KB5ECL, in July 1960 in Waco Texas at the James Connelly Air Force Base.
He enjoyed his retirement on Lake Livingston, and chatting with his friends on 75 meter nets.
He served his country as an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam [Vietnam service medal].
