Dnald K. Holck was born February 7, 1931 in Britt, IA. He passed away at home, surrounded by his grandchildren on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in Albuquerque.
Don graduated from Iowa State College (now Iowa State University) as an Electrical Engineer in 1958. He was a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and a Korean war veteran.
Don and his family moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1958, where he worked for Sandia National Laboratories for over 30 years.
Don was a ham radio enthusiast and instructor. He loved to read crime novels and was an avid viewer of cooking shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Julia; his sister, June Christiason; and his eldest son, Karl. He is survived by his wife, Alice; and his sister, Marge; his middle son Kris; his youngest son; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Fogel, Adam Holck, Aaron and Brian Holck.
Don was much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Don wished not to have a service and to be cremated.
