I was advised today by Jeff, N6LIP; and Julie, W6FIA that John Poat, K6MJB, passed yesterday. I have no details or other information. If anyone knows more please advise and I will convey to Chapter 7. I got my first Ham Radio license in 1970, which was WN6DGW, as a Novice and WB6DGW as a General. My license lasped in 1978 and re-tested again in 1980 and was issued the Ham Call of KA6MJB. In 2001 I changed my call sign to K6MJB, under the FCC vanity program and I am an Extra Class operator. I promote the principals of Ham Radio by being active on the frequencies, as well as a VE examiner! I am also a commercial two-way radio sales consultant. I guess, you can say, I combine business and pleasure in the radio world! I work HF, VHF, UHF, 6 Meters. I have a TS-440S, TM-V71 Dual Bander, and a Henry 3K Premier Amplifier. I work Packet, Amtor, and MT63 with Navy-Marine Corp MARS. I have a 40 foot tower with a Force12 - C3S Beam. I have Dipoles on 40 and 75 meters and Verticals for 6 meters, 2 meters, and 440.
