Ralph Lane Hazleton was born on April 19, 1898. He was first licensed in California in 1913 as 6IH. He served as a radioman in the U.S. Navy during WWI, and went to sea for ten years after his discharge in August 1919, when he obtained his first-class commercial license. Ralph later was employed by the FAA. He passed away in Oregon on December 29, 1990.
