First Call: KA6AUS issued in 1978       Other Call(s): K7CHS

I was born in 1952, I've been licensed since 1978 as KA6AUS mostly CW back then. Upgraded to general right away and 13 wpm test at the FCC office almost did me in, hi hi. I did not upgrade to Extra till 2016 under the insistence of my very good friend Ed W7GVE who is no longer active due to health reasons. Still mostly CW.

I enjoy operating my old radios and building antennas as needed. I believe I have found the perfect compromise antenna, its a home brewed center loaded no radial vertical which is portable (Field Day) and it is a winner in my book. It's just as good as my full size all band 80 meter loop and it covers 80, 40, 20 and 15 meters.

I am a member of the Kingman Amateur Radio CW Operators Club "K7KGM", a great bunch of folks. We had our first ever FD outing last year and we're looking forward to many more. We do a monthly breakfast meeting which usually runs on for a couple hours. We also have a weekly CW net on Wednesday evenings at 7pm local which is always 02:00 utc in Arizona, 7.120 khz, everyone is welcome to join in.

I'm trying to get proficient at 25 wpm now, don't know if my brain can make it happen though. I chose this vanity call sign K7CNT because it's CW friendly, that's the only reason.
