Bookout, John Robert 77 Jan. 19, 1939 June 09, 2016 John was born in Weiser, Idaho, to Donald D. Bookout and Verena Weber. He attended Benson High School and graduated from University of Portland in electrical engineering. He worked for Tektronix for 31 years. John had many hobbies, including mountain and rock climbing, HAM radio, camping, fishing, traveling and photography. John and Fanny (Zurita) Bookout were married in 1971. He is survived by Fanny and their son, Steven, wife, Raquel and their children, Alexandre and Shania. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1280 N.W. Saltzman Rd., Portland, OR 97229. He will be laid to rest in Enterprise Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016.
