Kenneth Eugene Gulley, age 79, died December 10, 2003 at his home in St. George, Utah. He was born August 6, 1924 in Los Angeles, California. He married Patsy Jane Hill on September 27, 1946 in Pasadena, California. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple in 1978. They resided in Rosemead, California for 55 years. They moved to St. George, Utah in November of 2001. Kenneth served in the U. S. Navy and was active duty from 1943 to 1946 and was based in the Aleutians and was involved in Top Secret Cryptologic. He was discharged February 19, 1946. He was then recalled to active duty August 6, 1950 for the Korean War and was discharged in November of 1951. He was in on the signing of the surrender of Japan. After his military service he worked for KTLA Television Station for 38 years. His duties included operating 50,000 watt transmitters and 7000&2000 mcs microwave and associated equipment. His hobbies included amateur radio operator, flying, skiing, fishing and hiking. He is survived by his wife Patsy, his four children; Kim Gulley of Garden Grove, CA, Jan (Gulley) Arievalo of Pleasanton, CA, Reid Gulley of Spanish Fork, UT, Brent Gulley ofOak Hills, CA, 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2003 at 2 p.m., St. George LDS 16th Ward Chapel, 550 E. 700 S. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 13, from 1-2 p.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
