First licensed as KN8MXY Nov 1958, however, started in electronics in 1954. Built projects from the very first issue of Popular Electronics 1954.
Graduated from DeVilbiss High School, Toledo, Ohio 1960.
Worked through college in electrical engineering, graduated from University of Toledo(BSEE) in 1968.
Worked for AT&T. Long Lines in microwave radio maintenance('62-'64) in northwest Ohio, old TD2(3Ghz) and TH(6Ghz) systems. Did short time in 2-way radio for GE MR, Worked for Toledo Scale Corp Systems Div, then Surface Combustion Corp. steel mill, minerals processing electrical engineering. After graduation taught at University of Toledo Community & Technical College - Engineering Technology Dept.('68-'72). Worked for Jeep Corp. in Plant Engineering Dept.
Became member of Seventh-day Adventist Church('72), joined Seventh-day Adventist health system(plant services) at Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver Colorado('76). Transferred to Memorial Hospital in Manchester, KY('78), Director of Plant Services('80-'97). Moved to Florida Hospital in Orlando FL ('98) as IT Disaster Recovery Coordinator for all IT systems, transitioned to System Programmer/analyst, Data Center power distribution coordinator. Semi retired 2008. Transitioned to Adventist Health System corporate data center 2016, retired in July 2018.
Both children live in Apopka. Son Greg is a healthcare project architect (3 grandchildren), daughter Alicia is a sonographer (2 grandchildren).
