William Herbert Branche, 90, Indianapolis, died September 10, 2010.
Born May 15, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio, he was a WWII Army Veteran, an engineer for 50 years at Bryant/Carrier, and an avid ham radio operator, bowler and golfer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Virgie Mae (Eley) Branche, and daughters Cheryl Isham, Pamela Branche (husband Brett Thomas), Claudia Conley; brother James R. Branche (wife Marjorie Branche); 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A couple of W's, in K8DJF and K9CLO, were the only ones considered worth a mention by G3RFG, who quite obviously, after his trip away, felt more inclination for the heady delights of short -skip on 28 MHz.
