Bettie Grace Loberger was born in Marinette April 1, 1924, daughter of Casper Lobarger and Lillian (Bohan) Loberger. She graduated from Stephenson High School in 1942 and attended one year at MATC in Waukesha in the dietary program. On Feb. 23, 1946, she married Theron (Slim) T. Norbury at St. Bruno's Catholic Church in Nadaeu. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1995.Bettie Norbury was employed as a cook at Concord Grade School, head cook at the former Welbourne Hall in Watertown, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown, the Watertown Country Club, the former Green Bowl Supper Club in Watertown and the Johnson Creek High School. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown and the Catholic Women's Club. She was also a member of the Watertown Silver Creek Riders Snowmobile Club, HCE Homemakers Club, New Beginning, Saturday Club, Watertown Moose Lodge No. 830, the Walk and Rollers Club, the Watertown Garden Club, the Watertown Campers and, being an amateur radio operator of the Watertown Radio Club and the Rock River Radio Club. She served on various boards and committees in each of these organizations and was a volunteer at the Watertown Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed ceramics, cooking and reading.At age 85, Bettie Norbury of Watertown, WI, died on 15 Oct 2009 in Juneau, WI. She was survived by her son, Timothy T. Norbury, Watertown; a sister, Arvella Weitz, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Mary Loberger, Kenosha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Loberger. |
