Robert C. "Bob" Monarch, 75, of Olney, died at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, -January 21, 2004, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. The body will be cremated. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. Reverend Ray Morrison, a lifelong family friend, will conduct the memorial service. Mr. Monarch was born on June 13, 1928, in Evansville, Ind., the son of Charles and Adelaide (Young) Monarch. He married Colleen Redman on December 30, 1954, in Evansville, Ind. She survives. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Merchant Marines for five years. He was a member of Olney Elks Club, and was a Boy Scout leader and a past member of American Legion Post.. 30 in Qlney. He owned and operated Monarch Production Company in Olney. Mr. Monarch is survived by his wife of 49 years, Colleen Monarch, of Olney: a son, Pat Monarch and his wife, Debra, of Harrison Township, Mich.; a daughter, Shannon Shoemaker, of Evansville, Ind.; two sisters, Nan McWilliams, of Stratford, Texas, and Adell Jeffries, of Stratford, Texas; three grandchildren, Elliott Shoemaker and Adriene Shoemaker, of Evansville, Ind., and Brian Monarch, of Milton, Fla.; and one great-granddaughter, Shayla Monarch, of Milton, Fla.
