Raymond F. "Ray" Rohm, 92, a resident of Davenport, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at St. Mary's Health and Rehab Center, Davenport. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport with military honors. There will be a visitation Thursday from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Ray was born on March 20, 1925 in Davenport, a son of Frank and Anna (Kojoth) Rohm. He proudly served our country in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Ray worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years in mechanical maintenance. He enjoyed making model airplanes, being a ham radio operator, and tinkering with electronics. Ray is survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters: Marion Duffy, Norma Hartman, and Dorothy Hornbuckle. May they rest in peace. |
